Skeleton Creek!
So this is a book that is all the rage with the 9-12 year old age group! It is a "scary" story that revolves around a boy who writes about things in his journal and a female friend of his who actually goes out to locations where strange things are happening and video tapes it and uploads it to a site where the boy can watch them.
The person reading the book will read a chapter and then go to a specific website and watch the girls film clip. This book is all the rage here right now!
My oldest bought it from the school book fair last night and has already read 2 chapters. We also watched the film clips online this morning. My middle wants to read it when her sister is done!

looks like a blair witch for kids kinda book/show. if it gets them reading thats all that matters.

ReplyDeleteMy friend is a volunteer who reads at our elementary school two days a week. She promo'd this book to the 6th graders before our book fair and she was so thrilled to see kids who never read, reading because of the whole book/video thriller aspect!
